COCK GREASE: A DIRTY BEACHES TOUR GALLERY

NEW PITCHFORK INTERVIEW BY LARRY FITZMAURICE (Pending publication)

Notice how this isn't posted on the label website itself, but simply represents my appreciation for Dirty Beaches as a fan.  His PR stuff is so refreshing because he is honest and not concerned with sounding cool- just being himself.  I don't why the entire focus of the music industry is to take interesting people and make them boring drones, but that seems to be what happens to every Artist I know who signs with a "real" record label. It's stupid, and ultimately, I think bottling up the creative energy of an Artist and restricting it is self defeating in 9/10 occasions, but what do I know about music business, right?  Artists should be allowed to be themselves, not turned into some idea the record company has about "what people want."  That shit is embarrassing.
