I'm still super into Ingress, the new "augmented reality" video game that is in "closed-beta" and was made by Google. By far- BY FAR- the best part about this game is that in order to play you have to walk around- doing the game stuff. So I mean, you compare it to a comparable time playing a World of Warcraft or other multi-player game online- you are actually burning calories instead of sitting on your fat ass. So right there is a big, big difference between this waste of time vs. other wastes of time. I've been losing weight now for about four months- just by running- and it's already clear to me that Ingress is actually a better way to lose weight because it doesn't totally suck like working out sucks.
I've heard plenty of complaints from people about different aspects of Ingress but jeez- a video game where you get to walk around and interact with the real world? That's a big, big difference between Ingress and World of Warcraft.
