Dum Dum Girls Record Pre Release Press: Chris Cantalini, Helmut Lang, Stereogum

  Yesterday Stereogum had the Dum Dum Girls End of Daze EP Soundcloud stream- clocking in at 5000 plays over the first 24 hours and putting the expected play count for the lead track somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 for the next couple weeks.

  If you look at Last Fm weekly plays count for similar Artists (as suggested by Last FM, not me personally.), Dum Dum Girls is grouped with Vivian Girls, La Sera, Frankie Rose, Veronica Falls, Crocodiles and Best Coast.  Dum Dum Girls is at 4-6000 listeners a week on Last FM.  All other things being ignored, the release of additional songs into the Last FM library will have a tendency to increase the number of weekly listeners measured by Last FM.

 OK so this took a little work but I have determined that Helmut Lang has a "Guest Blogger" program where bloggers take contemporary Helmut Lang clothes and make a blog post using those clothes.  Former participant was Columbine Smile: she took photos of herself in the clothes.

 Chris Cantalini fashioned a Gorilla vs Bear post that has photographs of Dee Dee from the Dum Dum Girls wearing Helmut Lang clothes.

   That cat is her roommates cat.  Dee Dee's cat actually has a different name.  These are simply facts.  Helmut Lang is a visual Artist, according to this May 2012 New York Times piece.
