According to the Omaha World Herald article, Dum Dum Girls are joining Garbage and Delta Spirit to play Omaha, Nebraska's MAHA MUSIC FESTIVAL on Saturday August 11th, 2012 at Stinson Park near Aksarben Village.
Omaha Nebraska has 700k people, #75 size metro area. You've also got the Lincoln Nebraska with 300k (#154) and then OF COURSE Sioux City Metropolitan Statistical Area- which encompasses parts of Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. Then you've got St. Joseph on the other side of the river (127k/#303) and arguably Kansas City, MO. with a whopping 2 million (#30). So that's over a million if you don't count KC and three million if you do.
You've also got Topeka Kansas (134k), Lawrence Kansas (112k) within three hours drive. All of them underserved markets. Does anyone play Kansas City? It's the #30 market in the country.
