SAN DIEGO — A 64-year-old man who had been trimming a tree with a chain saw at his home in unincorporated El Cajon was killed Monday afternoon.(SAN DIEGO UNION TRIBUNE)
Herbert Ranney Webster was in the tree cutting branches with the electric saw at the house on Sundale Road off Jamacha Road about 1:15 p.m., officials said.
When his wife went to check on him, she found him lying under the tree bleeding profusely, officials with the Medical Examiner's Office said.
Paramedics performed CPR, but Webster died before being taken to a hospital.
The death has been ruled accidental.
