when does the "black kids" backlash start?

Re: Black Kids. When Pitchfork and Vice agree that something I've only heard of via Pitchfork and Vice is totally awesome, I get naturally suspicious. But they played Athens popfest (according to Pitchfork "fatefully") and they are from Jacksonville, so that's some "plusses". But seriously yesterday I was looking at Viceland and I saw an interview with this band and I was like "an emo band from jacksonville? wha?" and then today Pitchfork drops an 8.4 on their "self released" ep that you can get for free on myspace. Don't sign with Vice Records, Black Kids- sign to Sub Pop. That's my advice.
