All areas of fire are experienceing extreme burning conditions. Cuyamaca Fire has established itself on Palomar Mountain burning 3000 acres. Team coming in to tacke that fire.

Doing our best in Del Dios, Valley Center, Rancho Santa Fe- fires are pulling together and will join up in La Jolla Canyon.

Jarman, "Next 24 hours are very critical, challenge is making sure neighborhood is safe, no one else is getting back in. Don't want to raise expectations that others will get back into their homes in next 24 hours. The winds are swirling from west to east.

Ron Lane: 500k residents evacuated; cedar fire had 50K. Hey Ron- nice vest! 23 shelters in place. Evacuees need to chill out and stay put. We are starting to get "ahead of the game" in terms of supplying evacuees.

Presidentg declared emergency last night @ 3 AM. 1250 homes destroyed. 241,000 acres burned. Hospitals have been evacuated in fallbrook, pomerado.

County named Recovery Director he will be there for the next briefing.
