the GREAT san diego/san francisco Burrito Imbroglio of May 2007

SFist Critiques Glass Burrito Post...(SFist)(thanks to commenter "travis" for the link- is that big stereo travis?)

Cat Dirt Sez Post about Original SD Burrito Post (by Erin Glass)

Dear San Francisco's fussy citizenry,

Hello. I am a native (as in born within the city limits) of San Francisco, and the thing I find so funny about sf, generally speaking, is how people move there for a year and a half and see fit to condescend to southern california like they grew up there(in sf). You didn't. You're from Ohio, New Jersey or Florida and typically, you don't know shit. About burritos from San Francisco, San Diego or wherever, because you grew up eating McDonalds in Iowa or whatever lame place you moved from. Only native californians are qualified to take a position in this debate, and that's all I have to say. If you aren't a native, keep your mouth shut.

Also: Can we get a "San Diego/San Francisco Burrito Imbroglio of May 2007" theme song? I will pay $50 for the first mp3 format track that I like and uses that title in the chorus. Payable by check.

Finally! A debate about something that I can argue about. You rule. I remember going to SF and my friend taking me to a spot in the Mission that had "the best burritos" and seeing tofu burritos. I just had to laugh.

Dude, I'm from Redondo Beach and Santa Barbara (both of them's in California, for the uneducated).

I've been to San Diego a hell of a lot. And I've lived in San Francisco for a decade.

Accordingly, I think I'm entitled to my opinion, which was simply telling that San Diego "burrito expert" to STFU.

Plus it made for some fun discussion. Thanks for playing.
